Garbage pile near NH puts Semiliguda residents at risk

Uncollected garbage piled up near Jagannath Kalyan Mandap in front of CNC Hotel along the National Highway 26 in Semiliguda town of Koraput district has become a pressing concern for residents as the municipality continues to neglect its responsibility of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
‘The unattended waste has become more than just an eyesore. It is attracting stray animals such as cows and dogs, creating serious risks for commuters on the increasingly congested highway. With speeding vehicles and animals roaming near the garbage pile, residents fear a serious accident could happen at any moment.
