BeMC to adopt Indore’s cleanliness model

The Berhmapur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) will adopt Indore's acclaimed sanitation model in an effort to improve cleanliness in the city, sources said Thursday.
BeMC Commissioner Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke, City Engineer Manoj Kumar Patra and other officials recently visited Indore and Bhopal to study their waste management systems.
According to the City Engineer, BeMC plans to implement Indore's "capsule transportation" method (special tankers), which uses sealed tanker vehicles to transport garbage.
