Will Lunar-tics now tell us the war never happened?

Never has the old saying “empty vessels make the most noise” seemed so apt.

There was a time when know-it-alls had a limited audience. Mick, leaning against a pub bar, or Brenda holding court in the works canteen, might have spouted all sorts of ridiculous theories, peppered with a grain or two of truth, and we'd have laughed and thought “They’re off on one again” and, come tomorrow, the message would have been forgotten.

Now, any fool with a smartphone or computer can speak to the world and, no matter how dubious or plainly bonkers their message, there’s an eager audience of like minds/lack of minds ready to lap it up and repeat.
