Two admit charges after tragedy on Market Place

TWO men have admitted attacking a teenager in Ilkeston who later died from his injuries.
On Sunday, June 1, Liam Derrett was enjoying a night out with his friends when he was assaulted in the Market Place. The 19-year-old died in hospital two days later.
Prior to the incident that led to his death, two groups of young men, who had been embroiled in a dispute for several years, had got into a fight in the Market Inn pub. The fight spilled out onto the street and a number of men were involved in altercations in Market Place.
