DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR A FIRST TIME DAD OF TWINS

'Thomas nearly got hit by a train', Emma announced, within seconds of our arrival from a bike ride.
'He what? Hit by a train?', Victoria gasped, allowing Emma to elaborate further.
'Daddy didn't have his glasses on, so when we crossed the tracks, he didn't see it, but I did, we got off and it flew past', she recounted painting herself as the hero of the piece.
'It nearly hit me', confirmed Thomas with a bowed head, shocked by his near-death experience.
'I don't believe this, I told you to keep an eye on them out on the bikes, and a train nearly hits him', Victoria said, turning to me.
'Why were you crossing train tracks anyway?' Victoria asked a little too aggressively.
