T'S been two years but the wait is over. The stage is built. Speakers the size of garden sheds are in place. The food trucks with their delicious smells are ready to go. Nottingham's Splendour festival is back!
This weekend thousands will pour in to Wollaton Park, with The Kaiser Chiefs, Travis, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Clifton's own Jake Bugg among the stellar musical lineup.
For me, I don't think anything will beat 2016's gloriously sunny weekend. My daughter was three and sitting on her Daddy's shoulders. I was on tiptoes trying to improve my view over the crowd.
