'Significant interest' in taking over lease of wedding venue

THE search for a new operator to take over an apartment hotel at a historic West Bridgford wedding venue has already generated “significant interest”.
Rushcliffe Borough Council is looking for a new tenant to take over the lease of the apartment hotel at Bridgford Hall, off Bridgford Road, after the previous operator went into administration.
The Grade II-listed building dates back to 1768 and was bought by the council in 1923.
A £2.3 million revamp in 2017 - led by the authority - turned the venue into an apartment hotel, opening seven apartments to allow wedding guests to stay overnight.
It was run by Birchover Residences who leased it from the council, but they have since gone into liquidation.
