RESIDENTS OF STREET PLAGUED BY POTHOLES FOR YEARS HAVE PUT OUT THEIR OWN WARNING SIGN

AFTER years of complaining, residents of a street in Stapleford have taken it upon themselves to warn road users of dangerous potholes.

Hartwood Drive, in Stapleford, has been plagued by potholes for years and, despite residents complaining, they say they were told that inspection teams from Nottinghamshire County Council couldn't find any faults.

Residents are not the only ones calling for the potholes to be fixed, as Broxtowe Borough Councillor Richard MacRae says he has also repeatedly complained about the potholes that start at the junction of Moorbridge Lane and Hartwood Drive. The sign can be found on the corner of Hartwood Drive.

Resident Peter Winn, 76, said: "I've seen two cars pull in here with tyres wrecked to the rim.
