Shops shut amid fears for structure

A B&M store was ordered to close after Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue were called to the building it is based in.

Inspections were carried out by fire crews at the Walkden Street Car Park in Mansfield after structural damage was found. Fire crews left the scene on Saturday and said there was no risk to life.
But Mansfield District Council said a number of stores based in ground floor units of the car park building will remain closed until further notice while more inspections are carried out.
