Robertson eager to play catch-up and impress boss

SCOTT Robertson is relieved to be back playing for Notts County following a long injury layoff, as he now looks to make a good impression on new boss Martin Paterson.
The 24-year-old went on as a late substitute against his former club Fleetwood Town last Saturday to make his first League appearance of the season, which followed his first 90-minute game in a year as he captained Notts in their midweek EFL Trophy tie away against Lincoln City.
Outside of 20 minutes in the playoff semifinal second leg against AFC Wimbledon in May, Robertson has not appeared for the Magpies since last October. Minor injury issues led to a big one with his quad, which required surgery in December.
He was brought back for the playoffs but more work over the summer to get him ready to play regularly again delayed his full return.
