Reshuffle at the top for council
Nottingham Post
|January 28, 2026
TWO new roles have been created in a reshuffle to Reform UK's county council top team after “capacity and workload issues”.
-
The council's leader, Councillor Mick Barton, confirmed the changes, which come nine months after he first appointed his top team, to the cabinet on Monday.
Cabinet members at the council oversee a particular area of the authority's services and have the power to make some decisions on their own.
Councillor Hana John, previously cabinet member for education and SEND (special educational needs and disabilities), has left her position, with Councillor Simon Wright taking over.
