TEMPORARY BUILDINGS SET TO BE COMPLETED IN JUST 12 WEEKS AFTER STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS CLOSED SCHOOL
WORK is progressing at pace to create a new "learning village" for pupils at a primary school that was forced to close due to structural issues.
Parents of children attending St Peter's C of E Junior School in Ashworth Avenue, Ruddington, were told the "devastating" news in December after serious structural issues were identified.
A letter by the school's head teacher, Michael Bradley, explained that Nottinghamshire County Council officials were carrying out routine work to repair windows and fascia boards when the structural problems with the school building were found.
Since then, work has been under way on building a new temporary base for the school's 350 pupils, with construction having started in the new year and continuing seven days a week.
