Reform UK'S latest stance on Post ban is setting a dangerous precedent

BOYCOTT COULD EXTEND TO 'ANY OTHER MEDIA OUTLET'
IT has been a dramatic week here at the Post and Nottinghamshire Live, one during which we have spent a lot of time reporting on ourselves.
We have been banned from engaging with Reform UK's Nottinghamshire County Council leader or any of his 40 county councillors.
The reason we have spent time reporting on this issue, as well as the wide range of other stories we bring to our readers every day, is because this issue is far bigger than us.
Reform's ban could potentially end up covering many more media outlets than ourselves in Nottinghamshire.
Reform’s sledgehammer policy in Nottinghamshire raises questions about what the party's approach would be if it achieved its aim at the next general election of forming a government.
The latest statement from Reform’s Nottinghamshire group proves just why this story is bigger than the Post.
Setting a dangerous precedent, the statement attributed to leader Mick Barton now confirms that Reform in Nottinghamshire will not be engaging with “any other media outlet we consider to be consistently misrepresenting [Reforms] policies, actions, or intentions”.
It is clear to see that this is the most worrying thing said by Reform since this whole saga began.
