Reach out to others as 'ambassadors of hope'
Nottingham Post
|April 19, 2025
IN the Roman Catholic Church, 2025 is a special Jubilee Year and its central emphasis is on HOPE.
Pope Francis has rightly looked at the uncertain situations facing much of our world; the effects of warfare and of trade tariff instability in so many countries, and the ever-growing increase in the numbers of people driven from their homes. He's also aware of the mental health and financial pressures faced by many in our own society and elsewhere. He recognises that this has greatly unsettled a great number of people who now feel very anxious and even overwhelmed; it has driven hope from their hearts.
