Paterson: Whoever we face, we'll do it our way

MARTIN Paterson wants Notts County to be able to assert their way of play on any team they face as they push for consistency in performance and results.

- By SAM ALLEN

The Magpies continued their strong home form at the weekend with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Oldham Athletic at Meadow Lane but there was still a feeling it could have been an even more resounding scoreline.

Notts have scored seven in their last two home victories but they have looked more blunt on the road in their last two away trips, so there is a push now to find the way to enforce the best version of themselves in any situation against any opposition, home or away.

Head coach Paterson says his main focus is always to improve his own team and get them to a level where others have to worry more about what the Magpies bring to the table.

"I only care about Notts County," said Paterson.

"I'm aware of what other teams do because it is part of my job to watch them and see what they do.
