Owner has bet big that another ex-Spurs boss can succeed

BUSY END TO MONTH FOR ANGE AFTER TAKING HELM
THE last time Nottingham Forest turned to a former Tottenham Hotspur manager they didn’t do too badly, and owner Evangelos Marinakis will be hoping the same applies once again.
Marinakis made two of the biggest calls of his Reds tenure in the space of a few hours. First, the initial decision to sack Nuno Espirito Santo and then to replace him with another ex-Spurs boss in Ange Postecoglou.
News of the latter coming in was not particularly well received among large sections of the Forest fanbase. After all, the Reds finished a long way clear of Postecoglou's Tottenham last season.
Forest finished seventh. Spurs were a lowly 17th, 27 points behind.
Of course, the north London club did win the Europa League. And it will be that achievement that piqued the interest of Marinakis, along with the fact he has long enjoyed a good relationship with Postecoglou.
