APPROVAL UPSETS MEMBERS OF PUBLIC AT MEETING

- By JOSEPH CONNOLLY Local democracy reporter

A PLAN for 34 homes on disused land in Mansfield has been given the go-ahead.

The plan, submitted by Bowsall Developments Ltd and Futures Homescape Ltd, was approved at a meeting of Mansfield District Council’s planning committee.

The site, off Balmoral Drive on the northwest side of the town, has been subject to a number of applications.

After representatives from the two developers, councillors made no comments and asked no questions and voted through the plans unanimously.
