A SHOPLIFTER who blighted stores in the town where he lived has been jailed after he continued his crime spree just hours after leaving court.

Geoffrey Loverseed was handed an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for one year, in Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 12, after pleading guilty to five counts of shop theft and one count of criminal damage in Worksop. However, within hours of leaving court the 47-year-old headed to the Coop at Plantation Hill, Worksop, where he stole meat and was arrested by police officers.
