Nelson primed for top rematch against Pogson

BULWELL'S Craig Nelson returns to the ring this month in arematch against Tom Pogson.

They will face each other at Newark Showground’s Lady Eastwood Centre on March 21 as part of a show put together by Carl Greaves and Dean Sugden.

Boston's #BigMush Pogson (7-1-1(1)) was possibly edging in front of Nelson (3-1(2)) in the previous meeting. But Nelson's big right hand connected again and Pogson dropped to the floor with referee Kevin Parker waving proceedings off.

“I can't wait to see Craig Nelson and Tom Pogson run things back again for Craig's Midlands Area BBBofC cruiserweight title,” said Greaves, talking about #TheRematch, which follows #TheFutureOfBritishBoxing earlier in the day.

“If this fight is half as good as their first fight then the crowd are in for a treat.

“Not just that, but with the amateur show in the daytime, this promises to be the biggest boxing event that Newark has ever seen.”
