IT WAS said to have been one of the most expensive TV soaps ever made in the UK, with a reported £3million budget.
Granada hoped Albion Market would become as popular with viewers across the country as long-running TV favourite Coronation Street, but the show failed to find an audience and closed for business after just 100 episodes.
