Man tried to burn down pub hours after getting involved in a fight there

A MAN has been jailed after trying to burn down a pub while someone was sleeping inside following a fight at the venue hours earlier.
Nottinghamshire Police said that Liam Noon, of Costock Avenue in Sherwood, was one of several people who became involved in a brawl at The Whitemoor pub on Nuthall Road in Bobbers Mill.
The fight took place on March 1 and Noon was ejected from the pub at around 1.40am, but he refused to let the argument go.
The 33-year-old smashed a speaker system and several windows at the pub at around 2.25am before returning an hour and a half later to deliberately start a fire.
