'Lovely' Connie celebrates her 100th birthday

CONNIE Stobbs, from East Bridgford, marked her 100th birthday on Monday.
The milestone was celebrated by members of the East Bridgford Care Group on Wednesday, who gathered for a small get-together.
Alison Powell started a regular coffee morning for the care group 28 years ago, and has been a friend of Connie for years.
"She's a well-loved member of the village community," said Alison. "We thought we'd make it as special as we could for her, with cake, balloons and singing."
The celebration was held in East Bridgford Methodist Church, with 20 village friends attending.
