Lisa's tasty secret world

ONCE they've been and sampled the coffee and homemade cakes, they're hooked.
But it's getting people over the threshold that's the hard part, says Nottingham cafe owner Lisa Davies.
She's been running Deli-Cious Chocolate Cafe for seven years at one of the city's leading tourist attractions, the National Justice Museum in the Lace Market. But what a lot of people don't realise is that you don't have to pay the admission fee to visit the cafe.
Lisa said: "You'd expect to find a cafe in a museum but that's our problem everyone asks 'can we just come in here?? In an ideal world I'd like people not to feel shy about coming in. The barrier is the steps: they're quite daunting, you can't see what's behind them and I guess people think they're going to get charged the minute they come in.
"It's really difficult. You don't know how much food to put out as you might have a coachload come in so you have to be prepared just in case, but we manage. I've just about got it down to zero waste.
