FORWARD IS THRILLED TO HELP FIRE NOTTS TO WIN
ALASSANA Jatta was delighted to get back on the scoresheet for Notts County in their 3-1 home victory over Oldham Athletic.
The 26-year-old’s deflected cross put Notts in front early at Meadow Lane on Saturday and then the Gambian forward scored his team’s third of the afternoon just after halftime to seal the victory for Martin Paterson’s men.
Having missed most of the first month of the season due to suspension and injury, Jatta has slowly been building back to his top level and this performance felt like a significant one for him and the team as a whole.
The first goal officially went down as an own goal but Jatta has claimed it and Notts’ third was definitely his.
