Jail for 'violent bully' who unleashed 'appalling violence' on ex-partner

A "VIOLENT bully" who choked his former partner and punched her in the face has been jailed.
-
Cameron Ashley subjected the woman to "the most appalling violence" in two separate attacks, police said.
The 24-year-old strangled her during an argument on March 22, and unleashed a sustained assault at his home in Highlanders Hill, Mansfield, on April 14.
Much of that incident was witnessed by a friend of the victim, who was able to record some of it on her phone.
Other images showing extensive bruising from a previous assault were later sent to police.
Ashley was arrested three days later at a hotel in Newark, where the victim had gone to meet him.
