It's all go, go, go as team ready to reopen pub after closure

IT'S been a couple of weeks since the sudden closure of a Nottinghamshire pub was announced - but it won't be shut for long.

The Ruddington Arms will up and running once again tomorrow with new owners at the helm.

The Blue Fox Pub Company has taken over following the departure of Mark and Sarah Anderson, who quit after 12 years. The couple blamed debt accrued as a knock-on effect on the pandemic, which they say had taken its toll "mentally, physically and financially".

Luke Taylor, owner of the Blue Fox Pub Company, said: "It's quite a quick turnaround. We were in the process of doing it. We didn't realise they were going to close quite so soon so we've moved as fast as we possibly can so we can keep the staff and keep everything hopefully as continuous as it has been."

He added: "It's all been go, go, go, the last couple of weeks."
