'I'm public enemy No.1' says man who painted Union Flag on his house

SIMON Brocklehurst steps out into the rain to admire his form of a “peaceful protest” - painting the entirety of the front of his house as a Union Flag.

Since the Sutton-in-Ashfield father went viral for painting his house, initially with the St George’s Cross, it is safe to say he has received a mixed reaction.

The 41-year-old has heard supportive cheers from the “really supportive” locals, but has also received plenty of negative comments from people online after the Post's first article appeared in several national newspapers and websites.
