Gym and new store could replace soft play centre
Nottingham Post
|November 25, 2025
A RAFT of changes are planned at a retail park where an occupier is said to be leaving “imminently”.
-
Property company British Land, which owns Giltbrook Shopping Park, was recently given permission to make alterations in readiness for the departure of Escape Play.
A planning application submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council in July claimed the soft play centre would be “vacating the unit imminently” and that it needs to make changes to find new occupiers.
Escape Play previously denied on social media it would be leaving the park, despite statements to the contrary from British Land's planners in documents submitted to the council.
