Farmer's plan for village farm shop and café suddenly pulled

PLANS for a village farm shop and café have been withdrawn.

The development would have been on land off Bottom Green in Upper Broughton near the Leicestershire border under plans submitted to Rushcliffe Borough Council in July.
But a council report has revealed the project - or at least this initial version of it - has been scrapped.
The planning agent for the applicant, farmer Nick Connors, emailed the council late last month to say the proposals were being withdrawn.
No newer plans have been submitted. The reason for the withdrawal is currently unknown.
