Els to host new champions tour

GOLF A new PGA Tour Champions tournament will be hosted in Portugal in 2026.

The event, which is sanctioned by the PGA Tour, will be hosted by Ernie Els.
The four-time major champion, who withdrew from this year’s Open Championship just days before the start, is a fan favourite.
The Portugal Invitational will take place at Els’ venue, Els Club, in July next year.
