Drug-dealing teen had imitation gun in car

A DRUG-DEALING Nottingham teenager told police he was being paid just £50 “by a friend on Snapchat” to pick up an imitation gun they found him with.

Alanzo Walker also had ammunition in a sock at his Arnold home and, while on bail for those crimes, was caught with thousands of pounds worth of cocaine and cannabis in a car parked on the drive and his partner's address in Calverton.

His barrister said his client carried out the offences when he was “a very young man” who had “lost his way in a spectacular way”.

But now he is behind bars.

Jailing him for three years, Judge Tina Dempster said: “Although it was an imitation firearm, you fell foul of the law because it was a firearm that could readily be converted to fire real bullets.

“You had just turned 18 at the time and it is more than apparent to me that at the time you handled the gun you were under the direction of others.
