NOTTINGHAMSHIRE Police have confirmed that a boy aged just 10 years old was one of three people detained after a group were spotted on the roof of Nottingham’s former Debenhams building.
Officers have spoken to the parents of three boys who were issued with a dispersal order following the incident on Saturday.
The Long Row building has been empty since Nottingham’s branch of Debenhams closed in May 2021. In July this year youths entered the building and threw objects from windows.
A group was then seen on the roof in late October and the most recent incident on Saturday ended with three young boys being detained.
Many of the trespass incidents have involved so-called “urban explorers’ who go inside abandoned buildings and post their exploits on social media.
