Devil's in the detail as Panthers let slip of two-goal lead in cup loss to Cardiff

NOTTINGHAM Panthers were beaten 6-3 by Cardiff Devils in the Challenge Cup at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday night.

Mitch Fossier returned to the lineup after missing last weekend's two games, but Matt Alfaro remained out of action following a postseason operation.
Jason Grande started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as backup.
Panthers had the better of the opening five minutes with Tim Doherty setting-up Chase Peason, who saw his shot from the slot blocked.
