BABY-LOSS CHARITY HAS FUNDED SERENITY SUITES TO ALLOW BEREAVED PARENTS TO GRIEVE PRIVATELY IN HOSPITALS

- By LYNETTE PINCHESS

A NOTTINGHAM charity dedicated to supporting bereaved families and raising awareness of baby loss has been awarded a prestigious award.

Forever Stars will receive the King's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest accolade a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE.

It is amongst the 232 charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups based across the UK this year to receive the award, announced annually on November 14, the King's birthday.

Forever Stars was founded by Richard Daniels and his wife Michelle in 2014, a few months after their daughter Emily was stillborn in December 2013.

One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage before 20 weeks.
