Creative festival will 'paint city with message that art is for all'

ART Fest returns to the city for a second year this month.

Taking place on September 20 from 10am to 6pm, the creative event, which is free and for all ages, has the theme 'Art is the Heart'.
More than 50 artists from across the Midlands will come together to make the city their canvas, transforming walls from the Victoria Centre to Hockley and Sneinton, with street art and colourful murals.
Launched by Benjamin Kay, the Art Fest aims to shine a light on the region's talent, while celebrating the power of creativity and its ability to nurture individuality, strength and self-kindness.
The colourful day will feature live street art, popup mini murals, creative workshops for all ages, exhibitions and paint jams.
There'll also be the chance to shop from a range of creatives at makers fair Midlands Makers, which will be coming to the city for the first time.
