Costa Coffee shop opening on Lister Gate has been put back to 2026

A COFFEE chain set to open a new branch in Nottingham’s struggling Lister Gate says the store's arrival has been pushed to next year.

Costa Coffee originally said it would be opening its new store on the once-bustling Lister Gate this winter, having previously occupied a unit on the street before leaving in 2017.
The coffee chain will now move back to Lister Gate in the former WHSmith building at 38 Lister Gate, which sits opposite the Green Heart park and once directly faced the entrance of the Broadmarsh shopping centre. However, despite originally saying the store would be up and running by winter 2025, it appears the café’s opening could run into 2026, potentially in April.
