Bonfire Night fireworks won't be coming back to Forest Rec

CITY COUNCIL HAS REMOVED THE FREE DISPLAY FROM ITS PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
The annual fireworks display at The Forest has not been held since 2019
NOTTINGHAM'S free bonfire and fireworks display at The Forest Recreation Ground has been consigned to history after options to bring it back were ruled out.
Charging an admission fee would be virtually impossible to police given the openness of the city park - and was a proposal showmen protested against when a similar idea was mooted for Goose Fair.
It's been six years since the popular event was last organised by Nottingham City Council and the Mellors Group.
