ARE you in a recipe rut? If you are, you're not alone.
-
New research reveals that Brits love to cook but are in urgent need of inspiration to shake up their culinary repertoire.
The national survey, conducted by YouGov, reports that almost one in seven of all UK adults (14%) never cook a completely new recipe, with around a quarter of people (24%) admitting that a lack of ideas discourages them from cooking from scratch.
While four in 10 UK adults report they're more likely to cook an entire meal compared with five years ago, many of us hold back from trying new dishes due to a lack of ideas and inspiration.
But help is at hand - courtesy of The Big Lunch next month.
The UK's largest annual celebration for neighbours and communities, the event is dedicated to connecting people, sharing food and having fun.
Being held on the weekend of June 7-8, the event encourages community building, friendship and a sense of belonging through the simple act of sharing a meal together.
