Bid to protect County Hall as listed 'landmark'

A COMMUNITY group is calling for the “landmark” County Hall to be protected as the future of the historic building looks increasingly uncertain.
The West Bridgford building has been the headquarters of Nottinghamshire County Council since 1946 but the Conservative authority held its first meeting at a new HQ near Hucknall on Thursday.
County Hall, on the banks of the Trent, is said to have attracted interest from various developers and county council leader Sam Smith thinks multiple facilities will end up being based there, rather than just one.
