Amazon plans regional expansion

AMAZON is planning to create two new fulfilment centres in the East Midlands, potentially creating thousands of jobs.

On Tuesday, the e-commerce giant announced its plans to invest £40 billion in the UK over the next three years, including new jobs at four fulfilment centres.
This includes roles at the already complete facility at Sergo Logistics Park, near junction 15 of the M1 in Northampton and the previously announced centre in Melton West Business Park near Hull, both of which will create 2,000 jobs according to the company.
A further two centres could be built in the East Midlands by 2027, but Amazon is yet to provide details of their locations.
