20 months for 'savage and brutal' baton attack

A PUB fight between two sets of offenders ended with one of them pulling out a "police-style baton" and using it to repeatedly hit two rivals.

CCTV footage played at Nottingham Crown Court showed Damian Edwards, 34, attack one man with the weapon as the victim grappled with another man on the floor while drinkers watched on in shock.
Another man then picked up a bar stool, lifted it above his head and fought off the defendant with it while also being hit.
Only Edwards was prosecuted and, after spending two months on remand, must now serve prison time.
