Burn the Curtain will bring 'Tales from the Wild Shore' to Hele Beach next month
A DARING blend of wild swimming and immersive theatre is set to make waves on the North Devon coast this summer, as participants join a surreal sea-bound ritual to calm the ocean's rage.
From Tuesday, July 8 to Thursday, July 10, award-winning theatre group Burn the Curtain will stage Swim from the Wild Shore at Hele Beach.
The event invites confident swimmers aged over 14 to become part of a powerful ocean ritual led by the enigmatic ‘Shore Sisters, as they seek out the elusive Sea Runes and tell a story strong enough to soothe mythical sea spirits.
