PARISH and town councils in North Devon have been looking to take on district-owned assets ahead of changes which may be made as part of this year’s local government reshuffle.

Current two-tier council systems are set to be abolished as Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) takes place in Devon with a move to unitary authorities.
