A NEW project is uncovering the secrets buried in Barnstaple’s archaeological archives.

Leader Sonia Guerrini took up her post at the beginning of December to deliver Phase One of the Potted History project, which is carrying out a deep dive into finds unearthed in the town over decades and yet to be fully explored.
She has 20 years’ of experience as an archaeologist in Spain, Egypt and the UK, has taught at two universities and most recently worked with the British Museum on postexcavation archives similar to those held in Barnstaple.
