During Suna Bhesa, when Jagannath wears gold, He is not merely a deity on a chariot.

He becomes Vishwarupa (the Cosmic Form) described in the Bhagavad Gita—encompassing all creation in His form.
The gold ornaments, shining in the light, resemble stars, planets, and galaxies adorning His form. For the devotee, it is a reminder: "All the wealth of the world is His, and yet He comes to us with open arms."
In this, gold is not luxury—it is the cosmic dust of His playground.

Suna Bhesa is not just about darshan; it is about shared emotion.
In the crowd:
A child clutches his father's hand, seeing the golden Lord for the first time.
An elderly woman wipes her tears quietly, remembering past years she saw the same darshan with loved ones who are now gone.
A young person, struggling with life's uncertainties, folds hands, finding silent hope in the Lord's gaze.
