Deal momentum Funding strengthens for second week.
Private equity and venture capital funding momentum strengthened for the second straight week, thanks to a handful of large deals despite a truncated four-day trading period due to Independence Day.
The cumulative funding secured by startups in the week ended 14 August nearly doubled to $371 million (₹3,248 crore) across 28 transactions against last week's $209 million raised across 33 deals. The volume of mergers and acquisitions also doubled over the previous week, a VCCircle analysis showed.
