Should I consider investing in one more equity fund?

Mint Mumbai

|

July 04, 2025

I have been investing ₹2,000 a month in a mix of equity funds.

- Nehal Mota

Should I consider investing in one more equity fund?

I am now planning to invest in balanced funds also. However, my advisor believes that given the impending bull run in the market, I should add another equity fund since I have also invested in the Public Provident Fund and fixed deposits. How should I decide where to invest? I have a high-risk appetite, but believe that balanced funds are poised to benefit more from the bull run than equity funds.

It is great to see investors assessing not just where to invest, but also why. In your case, the decision to choose between an additional equity fund and a balanced fund depends not just on market timing, but on aligning your investments with your financial goals, investment horizon, and risk behaviour across market cycles.
