The 4th edition of World Food India (WFI) commenced on September 25 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, with a grand inauguration ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Dmitry Patrushev, Union Ministers Chirag Paswan, Ravneet Singh, and Prataprao Jadhav were present among other dignitaries at the event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday invited global investment in India’s food processing sector, saying the country has the triple strength of diversity, demand and scale. He also asked the industry to invest in innovations in biodegradable packaging.

Addressing the 4th edition of the World Food India (WFI), being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, from 25th to 28th September, 2025, PM Modi remarked that farmers, entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and consumers were all present together at the event, making WFI a platform of new contact, new connect, and creativity. He shared that he had just visited the exhibitions and expressed happiness that the primary focus was on nutrition, reducing oil consumption, and enhancing the healthiness of packaged products. He extended congratulations and best wishes to all participants of the event.
