Govt may take a relook at some of the schemes started during the covid-19 pandemic
The Centre is unlikely to further rationalize centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) during the upcoming budget, as the process has been completed in the previous years, and no changes are considered before the general elections, two people with direct knowledge of the matter said.
However, the Centre could take a relook at some of these schemes, especially the ones started during the pandemic, for further rationalization in the next budget, these people added.
