Social media company Meta argued before the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Thursday that the Competition Commission of India (CCI) had no authority to question WhatsApp's 2021 privacy policy, claiming none of its 500 million Indian users had objected to the terms.
The company is contesting a ₹213.14 crore penalty imposed by CCI over the messaging platform's privacy policy changes.
